Dallas Knee Club wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born out of pain, prayer, and a relentless pursuit of a better way — for ourselves and for our city.
Patrick's Journey
From Double Knee Surgeries to Running Half Marathons
By the time Patrick Bell was 21, he had already survived two knee surgeries. The standard rehab process left him functional — but never fully restored. For years, he trained around his limitations, accepting that his knees would just always be a problem.
That changed through a combination of faith, persistence, and a chance encounter with a methodology that would reshape everything he knew about the human body. After prayer over his knees and a conviction that the body was designed to heal, Patrick made a decision: he wasn't going back to the old way of training that had broken him down.
Age 19 & 21 — Double Knee Surgeries
Two surgeries. Standard rehab. Never fully restored. Patrick had to learn the rehabilitation process largely on his own.
2021 — Discovers Ben Patrick (Knees Over Toes Guy)
Patrick met his mentor Ben Patrick — the coach with the most knee rehabilitation success stories in history — and began applying ATG principles to his own training.
The Results — Running, Jumping, Squatting
Within a few years: completed a half marathon, grabbed rim on a basketball hoop, and squatted nearly double bodyweight with full range of motion — completely pain-free.
ATG Level 2 Certified → Dallas Knee Club Founded
Patrick earned his ATG Level 2 certification and, alongside his wife Sammy, launched Dallas Knee Club — bringing this transformative methodology to their city.

Why We Exist
Bridging the Gap from Physical Therapy to Real Life
After years of implementing ATG principles with clients across Dallas, Patrick and Sammy saw a pattern: people were finishing physical therapy with no clear path forward. They knew how to manage their injury — but not how to build lasting strength, return to the activities they loved, or stop the cycle of re-injury.
Dallas Knee Club was built to fill that gap. Starting with 1-on-1 training, then expanding to semi-private coaching, and now monthly community classes — DKC exists so that people in Dallas can heal their knees, get stronger, and go do the things they love.
Patrick is also a faith-driven coach and the author of Conquer Your Body — Biblical Principles for Taking Control of Your Health. His belief that the body was designed to heal is at the core of everything DKC does.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
If you've got questions, you're not alone. Here are the ones we hear most — answered honestly.
Yes — post-surgery clients are exactly who we built this for. In fact, our founder Patrick had double knee surgeries himself and spent years searching for a better path forward after standard rehab fell short. The ATG / Knees Over Toes methodology is specifically designed to rebuild the structures around the knee — progressively, intelligently, and without aggravating your recovery. We work closely with your history and move at your pace. If you've had surgery and feel stuck between PT and real training, this is where you belong.
Physical therapy is designed to get you out of acute pain and restore basic function after injury or surgery. It's essential — but it typically ends before you've built the real-world strength needed to return to sport, work, or daily life without risk of re-injury. Dallas Knee Club picks up where PT leaves off. We use progressive strength training — not just rehab exercises — to build bulletproof knees that can handle running, squatting, jumping, hiking, and everything else life asks of them. Think of PT as getting your car roadworthy after an accident, and DKC as the performance tune-up that makes it run better than before.
Absolutely. The majority of our clients are busy Dallas professionals, parents, and adults 35–60 who want to stay active, reduce pain, and maintain their quality of life — not competitive athletes. You don't need to be athletic to benefit from this training — you just need to be committed. We meet you exactly where you are and build from there.
1-on-1 training is fully private — just you and your coach for a 60-minute session. Every exercise, every progression, and every element of your program is built specifically around your body, history, and goals. It also includes meal planning, nutrition coaching, and VO₂ & metabolic testing. It's the highest level of attention and customization we offer.
Semi-private training takes place in a small group of 2–6 people. You still get hands-on coaching and a structured program — but at a more accessible price point. It's ideal for people who enjoy the energy of training alongside others while still getting expert instruction. Both formats use the same ATG methodology and are coached by Patrick or Sammy.
Most clients notice meaningful improvements in pain, mobility, and confidence within the first 4–6 weeks of consistent training. Structural changes — real tendon, muscle, and joint strength — take longer and are built through consistent progressive training over months. The clients who see the biggest transformations are those who commit to a package and show up consistently. That's why we recommend the Builder package (48 sessions) as the sweet spot for real, lasting results.
No prior experience is required. We coach beginners, returning trainees, and experienced athletes alike. Our intake process and first session are designed to understand exactly where you are — and our programming progresses at the appropriate pace for your body and fitness background. If you've never set foot in a gym, we'll start there. If you've been training for years, we'll meet you at your level and build from there.
While knee rehab is our specialty and the core of what we do, the ATG methodology and our coaches' training — including Patrick's Muscle Activation Therapy coursework and Sammy's exercise physiology background — give us a broad foundation for addressing pain and dysfunction across the body. Back pain, hip issues, ankle problems, and shoulder dysfunction are all things we encounter regularly and can address intelligently within our programming.
